My name is Felipe Antonio, I am professional guitarist, composer and educator from São Paulo, Brazil. I currently reside in New Orleans, LA (U.S). 

I work with any size music ensembles, I also do solo performances. Currently, I lead a dynamic group in New Orleans called "Felipe Antonio's Quintet." My band performs a variety of styles, including, jazz, Brazilian jazz, samba, fusion, funk, rock, latin and both original music and popular covers. Our blend of musical genres creates a unique, captivating atmosphere that appeals to a wide range of audiences! We provide a very unique experience. 

Since I was raised in Brazil, I have got to learn music from a large variety of Brazilian genres . I play many tunes from the Bossa Nova, Choro, Samba, Forró, Baião and Mpb (Brazilian Popular Music) repertoire. Despite my original music, some of my Brazilian repertoire includes Hermeto Pascoal, Antonio Carlos Jobim, João Gilberto, João Donato, Paulo Bonfá, Baden Powell, Villa-Lobos and more. 

Since I moved to the U.S, I started falling deeply in love with jazz. Therefore, some artists you may hear me covering  would include Django Reinhardt, Wes Montgomery, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Chick Korea, Pat Metheny and more.
